In the same set of observations as those mentioned above the minimum number of thrusts was
also noted - and
turned out to be eight. I rather suspect that human records would be more impressive, with
possibly several
hundred thrusts before climax in certain instances and only one or two in others. But in
fairness it must be
admitted that the performance of the various primates has hardly been examined in any detail
in this respect.
There may well be sturdier howler monkeys than the ones observed!
