Men and women have tried to have sexual relations with a wide variety of nonhuman animals.
Some of the
creatures are common domestic pets. Some are less common - and it says something for
human imagination and
ingenuity that sex was ever thought of in connection with them! Roman women used the heads
of live snakes.
Herzog tell us of women who used the tails of live fishes for insertion in the vagina. Some
women have smeared
honey on the vulva to attract flies. Thus in Stekel we find - "The flies thus attracted by the
honey would tickle
her until her sexual appetite was appeased." Men also have used flies for sexual titillation.
