Most sexually athletic in the West

We have already mentioned some prodigious Western performers. To their names may be added Casanova ("Memoires") and Frank Harris ("My Life and Loves").
The Italian adventurer, Casanova, lives up to his prodigious reputation.

Guy de Maupassant was said to suffer from satyriasis or chronic hyper-excitability of the penis - sometimes taken as the male equivalent of nymphomania. Maupassant told Frank Harris that he could make love half a dozen times in a single hour; later he made the same boast to Flaubert and, to prove his point, went to a brothel with a witness and accomplished the trick. Maupassant claimed to be no more tired after making love twenty times than after two!
Guy de Maupassant, above, made love to half a dozen ladies in the space of one hour.
