Most prevalent tales of human seduction by animals

A variety of animals have supposedly made sexual advances to human beings. A few of the accounts - e.g. those of Kohler and Desmond Morris, are worth believing. But some are clearly fictitious. The baboon has often been represented as a seducer of women. Perhaps the most famous tale in this context is that entitled The King's Daughter and the Ape, from the Arabian classic"The Thousand Nights and a Night" In his translation, Sir Richard Burton mentions that in his opinion the ape referred to is probably the cynocephalus (Baboon), a beast "with a natural penchant for women".
