"Rubber News" was sold in England not long ago. Gillian Freeman describes it on pp.165-166 of "The Undergrowth of Literature." Alas, by page 179 the magazine no longer exists.

"Rubber News" was represented as "infinitely more comprehensive and interesting" than "even the best homosexual magazines." It even included its own Book Club - "Large publishers find that assured sales from a Book Club help to stabilise their costs and to give a reasonable guarantee of quantities. So why shouldn't a small publisher start a Book Club?"

In June 1967 the Editor of "Rubber News" was fined £1000 for corrupting the innocent.
