Testicles are much of muchness, varying in dimensions very little from man to man. One authority, T. H. Van de Velde in his "Ideal Marriage", puts the "mature testicle" at from 4 to 4½ cm. long, and from 2 to 2⁴/₅ cm. broad.

It is suggested that "at the utmost" the testicle does not exceed 5 cm. in length. This is probably true for healthy men, though venereal and other diseases can produce staggering results. In some maladies a testicle the size of a football is not unknown. One can only try to imagine the agony caused by elephantiasis and other conditions in which the testicles can swell to proportions vastly larger than the victim's head.
